The Institute's Learning Center is important for encouraging and displaying students' thirst for knowledge, information, and understanding and supporting their growth in these areas as well as in their personal, professional, and spiritual life. The Learning Center gives professors, staff, researchers, and students access to a vast range of technological ideas and information while inspiring and supporting them in all aspects of their goals to imagine, study, create, and share knowledge.
Library is the Heart of the Institution. Library is supported to the Teaching & Learning System through the Library Resources. Kingston Engineering College Library was established in the year 2008. Library functions on Open Access System for all the users. Library is well equipped with Textbooks, Reference Books, Journals, Magazines, News papers etc. DDC (Dewey Decimal Classification) is using for classifying the Library books & Arrangement of books for Subject-wise. Library Management Software is used for all the Housekeeping operations of the Library and is fully computerized & automated with RFID code Technology. OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) is available for searching all RFID TAGGED resources to access within our Campus.
Library Policies & Conduct
All standard books are issued via Library Identity Cards. Cards are strictly non-transferable.
Borrowers may renew once if no reservation is active on the requested title.
Overdue fine of Rs. 1/- per day per book is levied consistently without exception.
Journals, Magazines & Project Reports are for in-library reference only and cannot be issued.
Complete silence must be maintained within all library premises at all times.
Personal bags, files, and books must be deposited at the secure Property Counter before entry.
Tampering or removing RFID tags will attract a penalty of Rs. 100/- per occurrence.
Scribbling, underlining, or any defacing of books will attract strict disciplinary action.
Loss must be reported immediately to the Librarian to freeze accumulation of overdue fines.
The borrower must provide a new copy of the same book or its latest edition as replacement.
A monetary fine of 3× the current market price of the lost book will be levied.
All outstanding fines must be settled before semester No-Dues clearance is issued.

KOHA Integrated Library System (ILS)
Koha is an Integrated Library System with a range of features including: Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) module which provides a simple and clear interface for library users to perform tasks such as searching for and renewing books and suggesting new items.

- Books borrowed must be returned on the due date. An overdue charge of Rs. 1/- per day per book will be charged for the late return of books. Renewal of borrowing is allowed for one subsequent time if the particular book is not reserved by other users.
- All the books are affixed RFID tags for identification. Users are requested not to tamper or mutilate the RFID tag. If the tag is damaged, the return of the book will not be authorized, and the user has to pay a penalty of Rs. 100/-.
- Renewal of borrowing can be done through online.
- RFID Cards are not transferable. Hence, the students are advised to borrow books by using their own cards only.
- Users will get an acknowledgement slip for their issue & return transactions. In addition, they will get an email alert for their transactions.
- The library users are advised to check their circulation history and due date through online.
- Before borrowing the books, students must ensure that the book is in good condition and pages are intact. Defects must be brought to the notice of the Librarian. Otherwise, the borrower is liable to be held responsible.
- No user shall deface the library books by underlining or scribbling notes in the margins.
- Loss of books issued should be reported to the Librarian immediately.
- If the borrower is unable to replace the lost book by another good copy, the user has to pay the current price of the book in triple along with overdue charges & RFID Tag penalty.
- Journals, Magazines, and Project Reports shall not be issued.
- Personal books and files should be handed over to the attendant in the Property Counter at the entrance of the Learning Centre. Plain sheets/Notebooks may be taken instead. Students are advised not to keep their valuable things in the Learning Centre. Learning Centre authorities are not responsible for any loss of such items.
- Silence is to be maintained in the Learning Centre. Those who violate are first warned and then they are asked to leave the Learning Centre.
